The reflection of the clouds and the azure sky on the Pink Lake were twinkling as the sunlight shone down through the openings in the fast-moving cloud cover.
In 2016, one of my girlfriends and I, drove across Australia over 40 days, and Pink Lake was one of the destinations we just knew we had to visit! After several hours driving the beautiful pink hue appeared out of nowhere to our surprise. Even though we knew where we were going and how it looked in pictures, we couldn't stop screaming with happiness! We got out of the car and ran straight to the lake as fast as we could. When we were almost there I stopped to take these photographs and this video, which I am so happy to be able to share with you.
As you will see from the video, the lake went suddenly dark when the sun was covered by clouds and their reflection hovered on the water. As the clouds moved swiftly across the lake the colours twinkled white, pink, blue and purple. One moment the lake looked like the sky and the next it was sparkling pink again. I will never forget how stunningly elegant Pink Lake was and how it dazzled for us that day.
I have created a bouquet of flowers lovingly inspired by my time at Pink Lake and the magnificent colours and emotions that I experienced there. I hope these flowers, my memories and inspiration will bring you the same joy that I experienced standing by that lake in 2016.
